I'm looking around for a hosting provider for Aufero and found http://www.one.com -- is there any reader that's had any experiences with them? Bad or good?
Never heard of it(which is not usually a good thing) but check out BrainServers.net They are my hosting company and they are pretty good. Much better then 1and1, ASO and Dreamhost(i've used them all before)
yeah, im a dreamhost fan. incredible cust service, awesome features which are ridiculously easy to use (turning on webdav per directory is a check box) and also the fact that they're employee owned makes me feel kinda warm and fuzzy.
This project definately sounds like it is going to be highly popular among the lazy bittorrent users out there, who like to sit in front of their xbox all day. :O)
I dont know if you will be interested or not, but i co-own a website which will be soon selling hosting from a reputable company called stramline in the UK - they have 99.8% uptime, unlimited usage and storage and we think the customer service is also great (especially through us because we are actually computer and internet litterate!)
www.supermegadownloads.co.uk (or .com) be warned its currently having some work done on it!
Aufero is primarily an information gatherer with a BitTorrent client written for use with Windows Vista Media Center.
It provides a user with the ability to "wait for", schedule and view new or already existing downloads on your computer or network. You do this using your remote control sitting in your sofa. You can see it as a broad-catcher on steroids.

Well, I actually went through all the providers you said, Matthew. What happened in the end was that I ended up with dreamhost :)
Thanks for the suggestions guys :)
okay well dreamhost is pretty good. tonnes of storage and bandwidth but beware of the large amounts of downtime
